Whilst I hope many of you were able to enjoy some downtime during the Christmas and New Year break we acknowledge it was a sombre conclusion for 2019 and start to a new decade indeed.

We are buoyed by efforts to recover and rebuild so quickly. Wine Australia has the following resources available which we encourage you to share broadly within your region/state.

1. Bushfire recovery page – Wine Australia has released an excellent resource for those impacted by bushfires or who wish to donate. Included on the page is information providing support for grapegrowers and winemakers, mental health resources, government and business support, donations, fundraising and support activities. Also included on this page (and attached for your convenience) is the media release issued on 7 January which is still current. We will continue to update this page with any further and relevant information therefore I implore you to share this link as broadly as possible and encourage your members to click on: https://www.wineaustralia.com/fire-recovery
   
2. Bushfire case study – Included in the Bushfire recovery page is a case study of Mount Bera Vineyards in South Australia which was impacted by the Sampson Flat bushfire. See what owner Greg Horner did to regenerate his land on his podcast and report….click here or refer to EDM below:
