Oakdene Wines are made in small quantities, from high quality fruit, produced in low yields using meticulous vine management.  The wines are elegant, complex and reflect the true varietal character of the region.

Established in 2001, Oakdene’s boutique vineyard is situated on 93 hectares of coastal farmland in Wallington on the Bellarine Peninsula. Approximately 20 kilometres east of Geelong, the boutique vineyard features an award-winning restaurant, café and cellar door. The region enjoys a cool, maritime climate, which moderates the weather patterns and results in a long and cool growing season that produces low yields of high-quality fruits.

Oakdene produces both still and sparkling wines, specialising in chardonnay, pinot noir, shiraz, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc. The wines are complex and elegant, reflecting the true varietal character of the region.

The winery’s dedication to excellence has produced incredible results, with its wines winning medals and trophies at major wine shows, and a consistent 5-star rating in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion over a number of years.

Visitors can experience guided tastings at Oakdene’s unique and quirky cellar door, the Upside-Down House, and sample estate-grown extra virgin olive oils. Manned by a small team of locals, who over the years, have developed an intimate understanding of the region and a deep knowledge of Oakdene wines.  Visitors are also welcome to wander the extensive gardens and appreciate the many artworks placed throughout the property.

A visit to Oakdene would not be complete without a dining experience at the award-winning restaurant, Marty @ Oakdene, the perfect place to match estate grown Bellarine Peninsula wines with the menu of seasonal, local and regional produce prepared with passion and flair. Various dining options are available, including a la carte and degustation menus, private dining rooms and spectacular gardens.

Diners also have the option of the Mr Grubb @ Oakdene café. Nestled among a mass of birch trees and offering a casual, relaxed atmosphere with a seasonal menu of share plates, pizzas, burgers and salads, coffee and cake.

Oakdene also caters for weddings and special events and offers three beautifully appointed themed guest rooms within the lovingly restored 1920s homestead.
