A Swiss Santé

Where: Barwon Ridge, 50 McMullans Road, Barrabool for a group photo at the Pinot Meunier vineyard, then onto “Neuchâtel” 460 Merrawarp Road, Barrabool.
Hosts – Mike & Holly Williams
When: Saturday, 1st September 2018.
Time: 12.00pm – Afternoon (light food and refreshments provided)
Activity: A short overview/presentation by Johnny Clark and Jo Wealands – in the heritage listed Neuchâtel” cellar, formerly the ‘Suisse Vineyard’ site established in the 1861 by Fred Breguet, a pioneering Geelong Swiss vigneron of the 1800’s – on their recent discovery tour of the Swiss wine regions, followed by an informal tasting of some select Swiss wines from the Neuchatel region.
The initial objective of their mission was to research the region and establish contacts with key operators, winemakers, and industry representatives in order to facilitate further discussion on a possible ‘sister city’ program/relationship with the potential to reconnect the two regions, paying homage to our historical links and develop symbiotic strategies moving forward that will benefit the two regions into the future.
