Hat Rock Vineyard

Hat Rock Vineyard is located on the Bellarine Peninsula between Drysdale and Portarlington. It is owned and operated by Stephen and Vici Funnell, both of whom have science degrees and are committed to producing premium wines in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Hat Rock produces a limited quantity of award winning Pinot Noir. Planting of Chardonnay is planned. Our winemaking process reflects the combination of vineyard factors that define our site in order that distinctive wines can be produced. All fruit is handpicked from low yielding vines and Pinot Noir is fermented naturally, in small open top vessels. Gentle pressing is undertaken to optimise the extraction of colour, flavour and tannin. All wine is matured in carefully selected French oak and the wine is unfiltered to preserve texture and optimize flavour.
