Grassy Point Wines

Our vineyard is situated in a quiet, rural setting on the Bellarine Peninsula near the seaside towns of Portarlington, Indented Heads and St Leonards. Established in 1997 our  100% estate-grown, cool climate wines have been awarded with much success. Our plantings include Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.

James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2009 awarded Grassy Point Wines a five-star rating and listed us as one of the best wineries of the Geelong Region.

We attribute our success to the low-yielding vines being planted in a northerly aspect in sandy loam soil and to the moderating influence of the maritime climate. Robert, the vigneron, tends the vines and the hand pruning and picking is assisted by our caring, enthusiastic team of seasonal workers, friends and family! Well-known wine-maker, Scott Ireland of Provenance Wines, converts the quality fruit into quality wines.
